Low-Income Housing Tax Credits & Seniors in Vermont, 2017

Vermont's 2017 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) gives preference to developments for seniors and defines a set-aside for new senior housing.

25% of the annual housing tax credit ceiling will be considered for new senior housing that provides sufficient on-site services directly to residents to allow them to age in place and avoid nursing home care or other institutional utilization. Senior housing will be considered for funding when it leverages new rental assistance or other subsidies for the lowest income seniors.
